Pacific Northwest Shelby Mustang 50th Anniversary Celebration - July 19, 2015
Fifty years ago Carroll Shelby introduced a new breed of high performance Mustang, the GT350. This now legendary limited production muscle car spanned five years, starting out with small blocks with the later addition of big blocks, fastbacks later saw the creation of convertibles, the once only manual 4 speed transmission soon made way for automatics as well. Initially, the white only color gave way to a rainbow of colors later on. Each year and model of Shelby Mustang had their own personality.
On July 19, 2015, we are attempting to put together the largest gathering of 1965-1970 Shelby Mustangs ever assembled in the Pacific Northwest. The gathering will be take place at the annual Mustangs Northwest Roundup People's Choice Show at Bellevue Community College. This is to celebrate the 50 years of all the original 65-70 Shelby Mustangs. The record for this show, which was set on July 17, 2005, stands at 61. Shown below are photos of almost all those cars that attended in 2005.
We will use this webpage as our primary information source for the Shelby gathering and provide updates for this event as we go along. As we receive confirmation of cars attending we will post the numbers here and update the totals frequently.
